New forum membership
Welcome - CFOA and FSFA club members to the Deep~Blue~Sea, Florida's premiere on-line fishing community with over 450 active members.  As a club member, you are invited to join and participate, at no cost, other than the hours you will spend surfing the latest reports, information, tactics, and smack.  Jump on in and join your fellow club members.

Background - The Deep~Blue~Sea forum is a private members only forum. The DBS forum is the result of many people searching for an alternative internet community dedicated to and focused on saltwater fishing and diving. My vision for the forum would be that it would become a reference source of information and a community of people who share common interests in the Deep~Blue~Sea. Unlike many other similar forums, this forum serves one and only one group of people, the forum users. The rules that govern this forum are as follows:

New Member Requirements

  • To request an account, new members must be at least 18 years or older (or sponsored by dads/etc).
  • New members must be either members of the FSFA, CFOA, or referred by an existing member. If you have any questions regarding membership referral please contact the board administrator. New members must fill in the referred by field in your user profile. If you don't have a referral, but are a member of either the CFOA or FSFA, just put the club name in as your referral
  •  All new members, and those that haven't posted yet, will be required to post on the welcome mat before there views and permissions will be opened up. This gives your referrer and the forum community the opportunity to welcome you

Forum Rules - Registration as a User implies acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

  • Participants shall not post any material likely to cause offence, that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right - without the express permission of the owner of such copyright - or that contains personal phone numbers or addresses.
  • All content posted on this forum may not be copied, duplicated, or reposted outside of DBS without the permission of the author of the post.
  • As the great prophet, Aretha has said R-E-S-P-E-C-T.... With all the hardcore fishermen and divers on here, I am sure there are people that don't get along with each other. Agree to disagree, agree to dislike each other, but whatever gets posted or PMd, be RESPECTFUL.
  • This is a strictly no baggage forum. I will not allow any baggage, from anywhere else to be brought here. Why would we want all that garbage here. That is one of the reasons this forum exist. Everyone starts with a clean slate. Everyone plays by the same rules (and there aren't that many). Everyone that doesn't play by the rules, gets tossed
  • If you feel that someone has broken either the letter or spirit of these rules, PM the administrator. Do not retaliate or provoke others. It would disappoint your mother, and get you tossed out of here
  • All members will be required to complete their user profile, including a referrer (an existing forum member).
  • Participants may not use the Forums to post or transmit/spam advertisements or commercial solicitations of any kind.  Some leniency is given if it is restricted to the off-topic or for sale/wanted sections, but don't abuse it...
  • The appropriate Forum Moderator has the right to edit, censor, delete or otherwise modify any posted message, but has the responsibility to PM the offending party as to why it was done.  Both intent and demeanor along with the post content will be subject to the interpretation of the Forum Moderator (aka Benevolent Dictator).
  • HOTD's - There are about a billion places on the web for that kind of content, I really don't think we need a billion and one.  This is a fishing forum. Nuff said.  If you think something is even close to the edge, don't post it.
  • This web site does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of the material posted to the Forums or bear any responsibility for any loss, damage, or other liabilities caused by any posted message.

I Accept the Terms of Usage and would like to join the Deep-Blue-Sea community
